PA Day KidsCamp Adventure!
Registration is now closed!
At KidsCamp, Grey Roots strives to offer educational, hands-on programming. Going beyond traditional PA Day offerings, KidsCampers will learn outside the classroom through our engaging programming. Please read through the KidsCamp Handbook to make sure our program is the right fit for your child.
We are doing something new for the first PA Day of the school year. KidsCampers will participate in a full day of special programming. Activities include a fall hike around Moreston Heritage Village, creating an animal self or family portrait, a lesson on food safety before making grilled cheese and pancakes, assembling a rocket launcher using a Kool-Aid Jammer package, and some more fun surprises!
Drop off begins at 9:00 a.m. on the west side of the building. Pick up (at the same spot) starts at 4:00 p.m. and must be completed by 4:30 pm.
KidsCamp takes place in the main building along with Moreston Heritage Village. This allows KidsCampers to access all the comforts of the museum, including our amazing exhibits.
Wondering about our KidsCamp staff?
With our summer team back in school, Programs Coordinator Laura Arnold will lead our PA Day KidsCamp Adventure.

I wanted to thank the staff of Grey Roots Day Camp for the great experience that they gave my daughter this summer. Jada loved the crafts, fun activities, and learning about the rain forest, Kings and Queens, and about pioneer life.
The staff were friendly, helpful, and energetic. The camp was well organized and the communication was perfect.
Jada said “ I like making the rain maker and growing my bean”. She has not stopped taking about the camp fire. She also said that she liked “playing with friends” and "being with Stacey”.
Thanks again. See you March Break & next summer!
My son is enrolled in the Grey Roots Summer Camp this week for "Vikings Week". He attended last week as well, and had made it very clear to the Camp Counselors that he was "Super Excited" to make Catapults during Viking Week.
First day of Viking Week, my son took ill (not seriously) and had to be picked up early from camp. This also happened to be the same day that the Catapult craft was scheduled for. The staff of the Grey Roots summer camp program went above & beyond by adjusting their scheduled plans for the day so the kids could do the Catapult craft the next day, when my son was back to camp and feeling better, as they knew how much he had been looking forward to it.
To know that the caregivers that your child is spending their day with are so compassionate and caring to offer to do that for my son, showed how dedicated they are to ensuring that all of the kids have great experiences and never leave disappointed while at camp and under their care.
Many, many thanks for making my son's day brighter, and his camp experience memorable. Feeling gratitude and not sharing it is like wrapping Christmas presents and not opening them, so I share my gratitude to you all.
