Sacred Splendor

In Sacred Splendor, viewers are presented with a series of beautifully detailed, strikingly lit stained-glass windows. Originally installed in the Desboro United Church in 1949, the windows served local parishioners for decades before their removal and subsequent transfer to the Grey Roots artefact collection.

Now, following substantial restoration work, these beautiful pieces of local history are once again on public display. Each window tells its own story, each with distinct art, and several featuring biblical verses. The artefacts are complemented by a history of the glass designer, and the church itself, as well as an overview of the meticulous restoration process which culminated in this exhibit.

Sacred Splendor, on now at Grey Roots Museum & Archives.
