Come out to Grey Roots for a day camp experience that is both exciting and educational! Learn about the lives of the first people in Grey County; grind grain and carry water with a yoke like a real pioneer with other hands-on activities at most Moreston Village buildings. Enjoy a half-day guided program designed to make learning fun!
Bookings must be made at least 48 hours prior to your visit to ensure an interpreter is available to lead your group. Please call as soon as you have selected a date to avoid disappointment. Having a second date is recommended. To book your tour please phone 519-376-3690 x6128, or programs@greyroots.com.
Supervisor to Child Ratios
One day camp supervisor per 6 children. We expect the supervisors to help supervise the children in any activities or crafts that may be a part of the program.
Rates
The cost is $5.00 plus HST per child if booked in advance, or $75.00 for the group, if it contains fewer than 15 children. Otherwise, your group may explore independently at $3.50 plus HST per child, if booked in advance. A tour group without a reservation is also welcome to tour independently at $5.00 plus HST per child. One day camp supervisor for every six participants are admitted free of charge. To ensure that your group gets the most out of their visit we strongly encourage a maximum of 40 children.
