Pratie Oaten Irish Festival

Grey Roots celebrates its 8th annual Pratie Oaten Irish Festival in Moreston Heritage Village! The potatoes are dug and its time boil up a pot of  “lumpers” to make a batch of everyone’s favourite, Pratie Oaten, our Irish potato oatcakes.

Folksinger and former marine museum curator Ian Bell presents a program of traditional songs and tunes from the days of sail on the Great Lakes, on guitar, concertina, banjo and harmonica. Ian will accompany his presentation with a slide show of historic images of ships, sailors and Great Lakes ports.
