Grey Roots Museum & Archives is a community gathering place situated on the traditional territory of the Chippewas of Nawash, and the Chippewas of Saugeen, known collectively as the Saugeen Ojibway Nation. In the spirit of truth, reconciliation and friendship with all First Nations, Metis and Inuit, Grey Roots is pleased to offer complimentary admission to Indigenous Peoples.
Visitors who are members of our reciprocal partner museums, the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre; Huron County Museum & Historic Gaol; Simcoe County Museum; and the Region of Waterloo Museums, enjoy free admission on regular admission days. This does not include special events such as Spring into Moreston, the Antique and Classic Car Show, Moreston by Candlelight and others. Reciprocal members are required to purchase admission or tickets to special events.
Please note: Dogs and pets are not permitted inside Grey Roots Museum & Archives or on the grounds of Moreston Heritage Village. Certified service animals are welcome.
Your membership will grant you access not only to Grey Roots, but also to our partner museums!
Volunteers participate in learning workshops and seminars, meet new people and make new friends, and receive many benefits.
We rent our multi-media theatre and Delton Becker Room to the community. The 75 seat theatre is an excellent venue to host films, lectures and other events.
