Grey County Historical Society Meets: History of Apple Growing in Grey County

Grey County Historical Society monthly meeting for July being held in the Grey Roots Theatre. This event is open to the public.

History of Apple Growing in Grey County. Our guest speaker will be Brad Johnston, President of Barbetta Orchards, Meaford. Barbetta has been producing a variety of apples and other fruit in Grey County since 1937. Brad will be focusing his talk on the history of apple growing in Grey County and its importance to the regional and provincial economy. He will be supplementing his talk with a topical DVD his company has recently prepared.
