Summer Lecture: Shirley's Box: The Highgate Mastodon Story
Come learn the story of Shirley’s Box: a simple box of donated fossils which led to a wonderful discovery about Ontario’s pre-history, including mammoths, mastodons, giant beavers, and more!
Presented by Peter Russell: author, geologist, teacher, and retired Curator of the Earth Sciences Museum at the University of Waterloo. Peter has spent his life working to increase public awareness of science and preserving, protecting, and promoting community heritage.
