Discover the joy of creating when Sheatre joins Grey Roots Museum & Archives this winter with “Out of the Blue(s)” - a music and theatre workshop series for older adults. Come and explore artefacts from Grey County, let them inspire your imagination, and share your own stories – all while building a brand-new play with music!
Using theatre games, improvisation, song, and storytelling, and with guidance from Joan Chandler and david sereda, participants will compose original songs and scenarios. These might include songs to while away the winter, or to whip up the band. Scenes may reminisce about winters past -- remember the winter of ’77? Or be about winter in a different country.
The fun runs on Wednesdays, 10:00 – 3:00, from January 22 – March 26 at Grey Roots. Lunch is included. No experience needed. There is no fee for registration, however, Sheatre suggests a donation of $150 for this nine-week creative experience. Group size is limited.
