Join Lauren Hambleton, of Red Hen Artisanale, for the culinary experience of the season.
This hands-on workshop begins with different types of pie dough and the importance each ingredient plays in the final product. Participants will work butter into flour to create delicious, flaky, and versatile pie dough. Bakers are guided through demos and lessons on creative, individual pie decoration - whether it be intricate lattice work, cut outs or textures. Bakers will taste, compare, and discuss the various types of fats commonly used in pie dough during a guided tasting session.
Each baker will create a seasonal pie masterpiece to take home and bake - filling the home with the wonderful aroma of fresh baking! (Or, pop it in the freezer for a few weeks and bring it out for holiday entertaining!)
